I had a chance to finish this tonight. The lighting and shading was very difficult. Sparkly ftw!

I had searched through Emma Frost images a week ago. I saw a lot of similar images (Emma with whip, Emma with wine, emma sitting all seductively, emma with her hand to her head using telepathy,etc.) and I wanted to do something original. I started thinking of sports that rich people do. I thought about tennis but there isn't much "sparkle" opportunity in that. Then it dawned on me that maybe she could be a figure skater. It's known as a rich person's sport and I loved watching it back when I lived with people who had cable (god, I miss you cable!).

She's doing a sit spin. I might go back and tone down the sheen on her skate--it's a bit too shiny for a skate.

Very nice job! You have a lovely way with anatomy... It's very believable! You have an excellent, clean-cut style which I absolutely adore...

Have you ever considered illustrating children's books? I'm always moaning and groaning over the lack of talented illustrators in the children's books department -- I think your fantastic art and smooth style would really make a great impression!

Thanks for commenting. Glad you like it. I've thought about illustrating children's books but most of the images in them are done traditionally and I prefer digital. Also, I'd have to do it on top of my job and meet deadlines that I'm too tired to meet.

Wow! She looks truly glamorous. Emma can be a real bitch sometimes in the comics but who doesn't like looking at fanarts of her?
Not to mention the brilliant and original idea of yours. Not in a million years would I've thought of this :thumbsup:
